What a journey! It all started with casting in February of 2011, and here we are some 38 shoot days and over 1,5 years later… done!
I hope you had as much fun helping me make it, as I did. I learned a tremendous amount, from each and every one of you, and we couldn’t have done it without you. We have a lot of great footage, and now it’s time to cut it.
We will have to ADR some scenes for sure (where the environment was too loud or noisy for good dialog), but that will come after the final cut is done, including dialog mixing.
Then we’ll add music, color grading, titles, etc. – this can take 6 months to 1 year. We will get through it as fast as we can, with Arlo Ihrig leading the charge on that one.
I want to send a huge thanks to Bobby Sargent, our 2nd Unit Director, Co-producer and my business partner and friend, for all the mentoring, training and for the use of SONY F3 for the last 2 days of shooting. This film grew a lot since you got involved, and I look forward to getting post-production completed and move on to the next step!
We will be scheduling out the wrap party soon. Unfortunately, due to the fact that your schedules are really busy, I know it’ll be nigh impossible to find a day when everyone can make it, so we’ll pick a date in August and try and make that work.
We have a good message, and I think we’ll be well received!
We will be updating the website with news, pictures, etc. so if you have some photos or videos you took during production, go ahead and e-mail those to me so we can put them up on the website.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you again, so much for all your help. Even the people who helped us get started but weren’t able to finish!
Hope to see you at the wrap party!
